Increasing echoes for the need of an efficient spent acid management, Chhatral Environment Management has constituted a robust plant to collect and treat; spent sulphuric acid. This facility serves the individual Industries facing challenges in storing, handling or treat it effectively.
The spent acid is collected into our specialized tanks from individual industries and brought to the plant for further testing and processes. The spent acid is collected into separate tanks according to the concentration of sulphuric acid after adequate testing.
Keeping the aim of optimum management, if the spent acid received is strong enough then it is neutralized using limestone and hydrated lime. Membrane filter presses are used for filtering out the resultant slurry. The waste water generated is treated at in situ to Spray Dryer for further treatment and disposal. This resultant moist solid waste which is gypsum is stored and delivered to cement industry as gypsum which is used in cement bags as setting agent. The colorless and concentrated spent acid is directly supplied to the actual user to utilize as a raw material to the textile processor as a neutralizing agent in waste water treatment. Part of the spent acid is supplied to ferrous sulphate, Alum, single super phosphate and cement industries for co-processing.
